What the agent does on a service call

  1. Answers on the first ring, 24/7. Nights, weekends, and the 2pm rush when every tech is on site.
  2. Triages emergency versus routine. No heat in January and a burst pipe go one way, a quote for a new furnace goes another. You define the rules.
  3. Gathers job details. Address, the problem in the caller's words, equipment if known, access notes, preferred times.
  4. Books or dispatches. Books into the slots you left open, or for emergencies texts the on-call tech immediately with the summary.
  5. Sends you the record. SMS and email summary at hang-up, recording and transcript in the dashboard.

Multi-city dispatch, built in

One SentraVoice deployment answers for a mobile service company across five Canadian metro areas. The agent recognizes the caller's region from their area code, describes the service zone correctly, and texts the technician assigned to that city with the booking details. If a region has no technician on the roster, the request falls back to the owner instead of disappearing. That is the level of workflow the agents are built to.

Why contractors lose more to missed calls than most

  • A large share of home services calls arrive outside office hours, exactly when nobody is at the desk.
  • Emergency callers dial the next company within minutes. 85% of callers who cannot reach a business will not call back.
  • Phone conversion in home services is high, so each missed ring is a missed ticket, not just a missed enquiry.

Sources for the figures on this page are listed on the cost of missed calls page, which also has a calculator you can run with your own ticket size.

  • Built for you, not by you. We configure every agent with your business name, tone, intake questions and scheduling rules, then keep tuning it after launch. There is no prompt builder to learn.
  • Your existing number. Calls forward from the line your customers already know. Always on, overflow only, or after hours only.
  • Every channel. Voice, SMS, email and social DMs, inbound and outbound, from one platform and one plan.
  • Qualification and booking, not message taking. The agent asks your intake questions, offers only the calendar slots you marked open, and books the appointment on the call.
  • A record of every interaction. SMS and email summary within seconds of hang-up, plus the recording and transcript in your dashboard.
  • Live within 24 hours. No setup fees, month to month, cancel anytime.

Frequently asked questions

Can the agent text my on-call technician?

Yes. For calls that match your emergency rules the agent sends the technician an SMS with the caller's name, number, address and issue as soon as the call ends. Rosters can be set per city.

Does it integrate with ServiceTitan, Jobber or Housecall Pro?

SentraVoice connects to Google Calendar, Outlook and major CRMs, and to any system that supports calendar links or webhooks. Ask our team about your dispatch software during setup.

What if a caller wants a price over the phone?

The agent gives the pricing guidance you configure, for example a service call fee or a range, and books an estimate for anything beyond that.

Do I need a new phone number?

No. Calls forward from your existing number, always, on overflow, or only after hours.

Hear the agent on your own line before you commit.
